Air Safaris 269

Explore the future of safaris. Adventure travel and safaris in Southern Africa founded by a an ex-airline pilot with a passion for travel and a mission to put kindness back into the world of safaris.

What makes Air Safaris 269 a Vegan company?

As an ex-airline pilot, my passion is flying. But my mission is to help the planet survive and put kindness back into the world of safaris. The more vegans join us on safari the more we help people make the connection.

Veganism is still a foreign concept in many parts of Africa, so after traveling extensively as a vegan family, we knew that vegan travelers like us, wanting to come on safari, would be unsure of how to navigate the challenge.

Air Safaris 269 are a plant-based vegan adventure agent based in Cape Town and Namibia. Being vegan for 13 years, I understand the concerns travellers have coming on a safari. The added advantage is that I am a born and bred Namibian which can give you the confidence that you know someone with first-hand knowledge of the region. I am not only your pilot but also your safari guide and planner.

We coordinate all our safaris according to vegan values. Should a lodge not offer vegan options, we coordinate and assist to make it happen. We educate the establishments we visit and work with on our vegan ethics and standards, and provide guidance by contracting vegan hospitality agents to assist us.

The safari industry has a long way to go, but our presence as a vegan/plant-based operator is continuing to grow and create awareness for others to follow. We also contribute to vegan travel forums as well as online and in-person travel conferences, both vegan and non-vegan.

The future of safaris is vegan.

Want to show your customers you are a Certified Vegan Business?

With so many non-vegan companies now selling plant-based products or offering ‘vegan’ services, it’s never been more important to be able to show your customers that you are a genuine vegan business.

The Certified Vegan Business scheme is the way to prove that your company is run on vegan ethics and puts the vegan cause at the heart of your business, by auditing your business against four codes of ethics.
